What are dental implants?

The dental implant is a small, titanium screw or post that is surgically placed in the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. The bone fuses with the post in a process called osseointegration, ensuring that your implant is stable and secure. After a period of healing, we will place a dental implant restoration on top of the post. The implant restoration may be a dental bridge, crown, or full or partial denture, and it is used to replace the crown of the missing tooth.
