Meet Our Team

Dr. Huckabee graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Biology before earning his dental degree from the university’s dental college in Kansas City in 1995. He has had extensive dental implant training, having studied under both Dr. Dennis Tarnow and Dr. Stephen Chu at the NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Huckabee continues his education yearly and has even started to teach dental implant courses.

Dr. Huckabee is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and holds diplomate status with this group. He met Dr. Melanie Huckabee in dental school and they started to work together in 1996. In 2001, they purchased a dental practice. They are married and have five beautiful children.

Dr. Huckabee graduated with honors from the University of Kansas in 1990. She then attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City, to earn her dental degree. Here she was the class secretary for a year and the class president for three. Dr. Huckabee graduated with honors in 1994 and continues her education yearly. She also has advanced training in orthodontics.

Dr. Huckabee has practiced in the area for over 21 years and is a member of the American Orthodontic Society. She is married to Dr. Samuel Huckabee and they have five children. When not at the office, Dr. Huckabee is involved with her church, spends a lot of time with her children, and attends their sporting events.

Tina is our amazing office manager and has been part of our team since November 2004. She attended Quincy University and graduated with her Associates Degree in Business. She also completed human resources management classes at Park University. Tina goes above and beyond to keep our patients happy, keep our office running efficiently, and keeping our staff up to date on licenses, continuing education, etc. Her favorite part of our practice is our patients! She enjoys building friendships and trust with our patients and the opportunity to help in any way she can. We are grateful for all that she does for our patients and practice. Tina and her husband, Scott, have been married for over 10 years. She has two children, Ethan and Sophia. She also has three dogs, Bandit, Blue, and Bailey. When she isn’t working, Tina loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys hiking, being in the sun, and traveling.

Deborah graduated from Johnson County Community College in 1984, and she has worked at our dental office in Kansas City, Missouri for over fifteen years. She enjoys the professionalism and great ethics we hold ourselves to for the betterment of our patients. Deborah believes in the importance of the education we bring to our patients to help them improve not only their oral health but also how it affects their overall, whole-body health. One of her favorite parts of our office is the sliding glass doors with great views in each operatory!

Deborah has been married to her wonderful husband for 35 years and has a lovely daughter and grandbaby. Her hobbies include reading, bike riding with friends, and general enjoyment of her life with great friends.

Misty Cox is a Registered Dental Hygienist who joined our team in 2018. Misty graduated magnum cum laude from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science and certificate in Dental Hygiene. She has over 24 years of experience in the dental field. Misty truly enjoys her occupation helping her patients with their oral hygiene needs through education on the importance of oral hygiene, prevention of oral diseases, explanation of treatment options, and keeping those SMILES looking their best with clean teeth. When Misty isn't here at work she stays extremely busy with her company "The Cox Kitchen" and her family that she adores. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they are raising 2 Boys and Dog. Misty LOVES spending her free time in the kitchen creating healthy and great tasting meals for others or in the gym working on interval training and powerlifting! You will find her in the great outdoors any chance she gets whether it be playing on the lake, riding 4-wheelers, gardening, hiking, or cheering for her boys at baseball/soccer games. Misty brings a fun energy to our office through her laughter, sense of humor, and spunky outgoing personality. She is an integral member of our office and we are blessed to have her on our team!
